Camp Details
Discover how environmental designers shape healthier, more sustainable cities through thoughtful planning, architecture, and systems design. Campers will explore how green buildings, public spaces, transportation, and infrastructure can reduce environmental impact while improving quality of life in Atlanta. Through hands-on design challenges, they will reimagine how Atlanta can grow in ways that are more climate conscious, efficient, and community focused.
Campers will learn to:
- Explore core concepts in environmental design, urban planning, and sustainable architecture
- Evaluate how design choices affect people, ecosystems, and resources
- Use model making and layout tools to prototype greener city systems
- Map how energy use, transportation, and land planning affect Atlanta’s environmental footprint
- Turn environmental problems into design opportunities
- Study real world examples of environmentally responsible cities and buildings
- Design and build models of urban spaces that balance environmental responsibility with human needs
At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!
